Blood gravitational surgery

Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department has a laboratory of blood gravitational surgery or in vitro detoxification, where plasmapheresis, ultra-violet irradiation of blood, infusion-transfusion therapy, preventive maintenance and treatment of post-transfusional complications are performed.

The medical effect of plasmapheresis depends on many mechanisms: removal of toxic substances from blood vessels, superfluous quantity of hormones, metabolism of products; improvement of microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, normalization of acid-core condition and gas structure of blood.

Thus, the removal of some pathological factors can stop the progressing of disease and cause return development of pathological process. Plasmapheresis consists of division of blood into cellular elements and plasma, the removal of the latter from the organism and its replacement by plasma substitutes.
There are several methods of performing plasmapheresis: centrofugation in capacities (faltering); centrifugation in separators (continuous); "manual" - blood upholding. Plasmapheresis is widely applied in obstetrics at gestoses, feto-placental insufficiency and miscarriage.

The ultra-violet irradiation of blood is performed by use of device "Izolda-2" in frameworks of detoxification and immunosuppressive therapies.
